4th – 6th of JULY 2025
#AmaPIAno FESTIVAL , #MUSICINSPACE, #BJORNVIDO, #KGOMOTSOGOBENI, #GULU, #Climate Cange, #Uganda, #3dAYFESTIVAL

CHALLENGE
Without question the climate crisis stands as the most pressing challenge of our time.
Climate change, loss of biodiversity, and pollution are pushing the Earth to its tipping points.

The positive news
We can do something about it - right here, right now.
We are creating a global movement that trough music will unite people, raise climate awareness and use the turnover to plant trees.
Together we can reduce carbon emissions and shift to a more sustainable way of living.

The Overview Effect
When astronauts looks down on
Earth from space, they get hit by
“The overview effect”.
There are no borders, no politics,
and “No Plan B”.
Just one small fragile planet
flying alone in space.

MISSION
Changing our habit to a greener way of living is very hard.
But all 676 astronauts returning from space missions, are know for having
changed their habits upon returning to Earth.
We can`t bring 8 billion people to space, but we can utilize the overview
effect, experience by the astronauts to make us change our minds and habits.
We are going to bring live space broadcasting, creating a giant show with
powerful visuals, emotional music and beautiful storytelling.

THE SHOW
The Music in Space Festival is a three-day event scheduled from July 4th to 6th, 2025, at Pece Stadium in Gulu, Uganda. This festival brings together artists from 27 countries across six continents, featuring genres like Amapiano, and aims to promote cultural diversity while addressing the global crisis of climate change.
The lineup includes international stars from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Denmark, alongside local Ugandan talent. The main event is a three-hour visual show with exceptional storytelling, featuring a concert set in space. Creative Director Bjorn Vido has produced music representing cultures from six continents, giving new meaning to the Amapiano genre. A significant aspect of the concept is the lyrics, which often carry double meanings; for example, “She’s on fire” can refer to a “super hot girl” or signify that “the planet has a urgent problem.”
This three-hour set will also serve as the final scene for the documentary titled “Space Boy,” featuring characters and artists from the film. Before and after this main event, the festival will feature standard sets with both local and international DJs and artists, offering attendees a diverse and immersive musical experience throughout the three days. The festival not only offers an immersive musical experience but also seeks to raise awareness about climate change and celebrate cultural diversity.

Business Concept
Soup on a Nail.
A hungry traveller arrives in a Ugandan village with only a nail.
The villagers hesitate to share food, so he smiles and says,
“No problem! I can make soup from this nail.”
Curious, they watch as he boils water and drops in the nail.
“A little salt would make it better,” he says.
Someone adds salt.
Then he suggests matoke, cassava, and goat meat, and one by one,
the villagers bring what they have.
Soon, the pot is full, the aroma fills the air, and laughter replaces doubt.
They sit together, sharing a meal that none of them thought possible.
Like that nail, Music in Space is just a small idea but with each voice,
each beat, and each hand that lifts, it grows into something far greater.
-
Uganda is that nail—full of potential, waiting for the fire of unity to turn it into a feast for the world.
